1969 - Rugby League Cup
Castleford beat Salford at Wembley by 11 points to 6.
Salford, the strong favourites, were leading Castleford by 4 points to 3 at half time.
By the end of the game all Salfords points came from penalties while Castleford had 3 trys and 1 conversion.
These were the heady days of Alan Hardisty and Keith Hepworth leading Castleford Rugby League Club to its finest moments.
